Restaurant is nice

Not the quality expected for a 4 stars hotel. Schitty wifi, no sport place, unfriendly staff and no basic amenities such as a lend charger.

Overall very good. We stayed only overnight without breakfast and the feeling was pretty good.

Comfort and modern design of the hotel is beautiful as well as the location. The staff has been very helpful and welcoming.

Cleanliness could have been done better. Some equipment seemed to be used and awaiting for repair. You could easily feel not touching it otherwise it could stay in your hands.

Not worth it

It is a silent place. Not crowded. Free parking

It wasn't clean enough. Stains on the pillow and hair everywhere. Security box not working. Telefon not working, the shower was not working properly. At the reception the lady told me i didn't pay when i've already paid before. We contradicted a bit untill she double checked and then agreed. Internet is very bad. It is not a place where i wish to return. Unfortunately i can not recommend it...

What was the highlight of Hotel Es Reco de Randa

Low quality

The bathroom was dirty and there was hair from other persons. The sheets of the bad were dirty as well. The services at the bar were too slow although there weren't other people there. There is a persistent smell of smoke in the whole hotel. The price was too high for the quality. I recommend the hotel for the view and for the pool.

Staff accommodated our late arrival and early start.

Staff accommodated our late arrival and early start. Facilities were great. Lovely and clean. Ideal location if like us you want to explore the island in a hire car as it was about a 30 minute drive to anywhere on the island be that mountains in the north, caves in the south east and palma to the west.

Parking was challenging - there were enough spaces but it was a very narrow road and then tight reversing. Breakfast was expensive for what it was.

The double room with views was rather dreary. There wasn't a centre light. All lights were wall lights so after dark I couldn't read nor could I locate things in drawers or the wardrobe. The room was typically Spanish nothing wrong with that at all but it had a tired and rather gloomy look. The bathroom was old fashioned having an old suite with only a hair washing shower attached to the wall. There was little room to shower due to the shower curtain inside the bath impeding on space. I expected a more upmarket class in view of the price paid. The breakfast began with a multichoice menu which had to be filled in each morning. The English breakfast consisted of eggs and bacon or ham and bacon. In fairness, there were nice Continental choices but very little fruit.

there was bad small from the air conditioner in the room i guess the AC hasnt been cleand for a long time. I had to took a texi to go to central of Palma and it costed quite a lot.

We booked this hotel for the proximity to a family wedding which we wee attending . We would definitely return ,yes you need a car but the views and tranquility make the it worthwhile .

Cleanliness quite poor, but heated pool a definite big plus

Very relaxed ambience, rural location, very good breakfast. The indoor pool is heated to 29°C

The room floor was dirty already when we arrived, I asked for it to be swiped, nothing happened. This continued for our entire stay. They apparently only clean floors with a broom, no mopping. Also our terrace was not even touched by a broom during the entire stay, so we ended up walking around in shoes. But with two little kids, we did have sand and whatnot in our beds. Also the staircase carpet leading to our room, looked like it has been vacuumed in the late 80's and smelled a little like a wet dog. We booked this hotel, mainly because it is one of the few hotels in Mallorca, who have a heated pool (29°C) and the dissapointment was HUGE when we got there and the pool was only 25°C. But thankfully this got fixed already on our 3rd day at the hotel, so after that my children could plunge around and my 5 year old even learned to swim here. The location is rural, so a few spiders, ants and mice here and there are to be expected. The promised internet was only available at the bar area, luckily we had pretty good 4G reception on our phones. The hotel is FULL of steep stairs wherever you want to go you need to take stairs.

Long weekend visit

Lovely quiet location, pool and terrace, with great views. Comfortable rooms and attractive terrace restaurant overlooking village and countryside beyond. Restaurant waiter at lunch and supper was very friendly. Two delicious meals, although quite expensive. We ate at bar in village on two evenings: cheaper, and decent meals. Air con in one of our rooms not working on first night, so we requested another room and were given one. This room was much bigger than our original (with seating area) and was available for our three night stay. Great, but wonder why we weren’t given the larger room in the first place, as we had taken three rooms in total, and were a family of five adults.

The hotel tariff is already quite high per person, so very mean-spirited charging for teabags and coffee sachets in room (as noted by previous guests) as well as breakfast provision: 6 euros for coffee and only one food item. Alternative was 16 euros for rather fussy tick list ‘a la carte’ option. Not a good start to the day. On our second day, we went up hill to monastery cafe (Santuari de Cura) instead: 9 euros for generous unlimited buffet breakfast, all laid out and very well presented. Friendly waitress there, too. Much, much better..... Lady on reception was unaccountably and resolutely unsmiling throughout weekend, from checking in to checking out, and was uninterested in whether we had enjoyed our visit. I would have told her of our concerns if she had asked. It would take very little change to make this an excellent hotel: just a bit more of a hospitable spirit, as well as thought and care.
